I have tried this site for several months and haven't had any real communication with others. Their profiles say friends, pals, etc... but no communication... Has anyone actually 'met' or became 'friends' with other members???

We've been happily married 19 years --tons of camping, traveling, good veggie meals, and our personalities and interests match quite well. But we're not looking for romance--friends, like interest, maybe some folks to meet as we travel. And definitely we feel support just from reading all the folks interests here.
