...but I had to get to work at 3.45am.
It's to set up market stalls in the city's main street. It's an exclusive job because few are capable of regularly getting up at a stupid hour. McJobbing it in this day and age seems a good way of staying flexible in a world where so much is changing and so quickly.
Dealing with the crew of men, 18 in all, was the hardest thing: A little flower like me, surrounded by the salt of the earth. Keeping quiet seems to be the best policy in those situations:-th more......but I had to get to work at 3.45am.

In the summer months it can be really, really beautiful. Finishing the first shift as the sun is coming up is often or***mic. And i mean that figuratively in the sense of exhileration. It soon fades away though, as you kinda realise that the rest of the world is still sleeping.
But that don't normally deter the entrepid from getting on with things, right?
I'm not much of a night owl. I've been building my life. It feels an age away since starting from a spiritual amoeba. Yet now, I'm ready to face the world, knowing that there is, really, nothing to fear.
In the winter I go out with a warming cup of green tea, laced with slices of fresh ginger and honey. It keeps me warm, as the bars we handle are usually cold enough to freeze to bare hands-yeesh!
What do we do it for?? THe fame! Addulation and applause!! Or because it pays bloody well and it gets the mucles pumping.
Arriving home would be a real drag without the cats. They've mellowed out completely as my folks have been away for a few days. No amazing party i'm afraid, though i did cook and entertain Frank. He spent twenty years in Japan and is a proper connaiseur. Cooking is my thing.
It's something i do everyday. It's under my skin, like this beautiful morning sun rising above the frosted autumn trees and crystal grass.
