I think it's all too easy to loose sight of what is really important whilst you meander through life.
I have been very aware of the fragile state of the environment for many years but this week it felt like a slap in the face to remind me. "Subtle signs" like non stop rain for 3 months or more now in Scotland and the more regular high winds. I have been very aware of the fragile state of the environment for many years but this week it felt like a slap in the face to remind me. Having spent a lot of time in the Scottish mountains I have been aware of the climate change over the years but this current weather cycle has got me thinking.
Why are we still only playing at being ECO friendly? If Low energy light bulbs for example can help "save the planet" then why are standard light bulbs still being produced?
Life is supposed to be about choices however I dont think 'Joe Bloggs' personal energy usage/lifestyle can be trusted to save energy & cut down the cO2 emissions.
I predict that new laws/legislations must come into place very soon on energy related issues. It should have been put in place 20 years ago.
I am now looking at my "old skills" as an electician and considering training in energy efficiency & installation of the various renewable energy systems, wind turbines, solar panels etc.
Perhaps with a view to training others less technical...
Anyway its only a blog;-)

Whats to consider? Go do it for sure... I think it's A fantastic idea. I think most people have lost touch with their true nature, of what it can be to be human.Just look at how A lot of us live, we pave over our gardens because we dont like mud on our shoes. We buy pieces of dead animals from supermarkets and the only thought that goes with that is "should i go for the two for one deal" always wanting more for less...but the price is always being paid somewhere. Best of luck with your project.
